West Malibu

A close-knit community where the famous and the common residents coexist without hesitation.

Welcome to West Malibu

Discover a renowned beachside village with great notoriety

West Malibu is filled with wide sandy beaches, peaks reaching more than half a mile in height, deep valleys, breathtaking waterfalls, large ranches, and hidden residences dotting the twenty-one-mile coastline. West Malibu is a close-knit community where the famous and the common residents coexist without hesitation, depending on one another in times of need and letting each other live their lives as they wish.

Architects Nisan Matlin and Eugene Dvoretzky designed the majority of the residences in West Malibu. Despite the fact that the majority of the original homes have been modified, most of them are still single-level ranch and mid-century design residences.

Things to Do

Some of the nicest beaches in the United States may be found along the coast of Malibu. Although they're all beautiful,
El Matador State Beach is regarded as one of the greatest. Famous for their rock sculptures, this beach features a long stretch of sand, sea caves, and big boulders, as well as a beautiful sunset. A visit to Malibu would be incomplete without taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Point Dume National Preserve. This area contains some of Southern California's most magnificent sections of coastline, from its towering cliffs to its huge beaches.

Every year, the 2XU Malibu Triathlon is a legendary event held in one of the world's most beautiful places, bringing together athletes, celebrities, and Fortune 500 companies for one collective purpose: to raise awareness and funding for CHLA's Pediatric Cancer Research. The route includes a 0.5-mile beach swim, a 17-mile out-and-back bike ride across Pacific Coast Highway, and a 4-mile marathon along Zuma Beach's coastlines. If you’re looking for a fun summer activity for kids, check out the Malibu Makos Summer Surf Camp. Malibu Makos Surf Club provides surf camps for both children and adults. They are on Zuma Beach, which has a sandy bottom and plenty of strong waves, making it one of the greatest places in Southern California to learn to surf! While their camps are primarily focused on surfing, they also include a variety of other water and beach activities.
