My Job is not to make a commission…my job is to help you find the perfect home.
Recently I had some very close college friends reach out to me, to help them purchase their first home together up in Ventura, California. I drove two hours to meet with them over lunch to help discuss exactly what they were looking for and where they were looking for it. After an hour lunch of catching up and going over everything they wanted I realized that to benefit these particular clients most, I would need to step aside and find them the best local agent. I knew this was not my area of expertise and wanted to help these clients find the perfect home and that meant someone who was an expert in this area. I reached out to Leverage Global Partners, found the right agent in the area, went over all of our client’s information and desires, two weeks later they were in Escrow and are now happy homeowners. In taking my ego out of it and caring about the client’s needs first, we were able to work together to find them the perfect home. I have since had dinner with them in their beautiful house, and they couldn’t be happier.
When it comes to Real Estate and choosing a Realtor people always want to know
- How much experience do you have?
- Do you care about our needs and wants?
- Will you do everything you can to get the job done?
My name is David Sheftell and as a Los Angeles Native I know everything there is to know about LA. Having grown up in Calabasas, gone to school in Malibu, and lived in West Hollywood, I can tell you what you need to know when it comes to living in the Valley, by the Beach, or on the Westside of LA. With my base in the Valley and attending Viewpoint Preparatory School I was able to make contacts with some of the city’s foremost up and coming individuals.
From there I attended Pepperdine University with a scholarship in Theater. With Malibu as my new home I was able to not only ingratiate myself within the community, through Community Service, Improv, and Outreach with Pepperdine but also was able to receive my B.A. in Theater. After college I made the short move from Malibu to West Hollywood where I purchased my first home and, subsequently, began my career in Real Estate and Acting.
During my period in the extremely competitive Los Angeles Entertainment Industry, I was a working actor having appeared in Movies, Television, Mini-series, Commercials, and numerous Voice Over projects. There I learned not only a great deal about how to work with many different types of people but I also developed a thick skin. Having appeared in “Stephen King’s Bag of Bones” with Pierce Brosnon on A&E, as well as “The Young and the Restless” and “Days of Our Lives,” and numerous times on cartoons such as “Family Guy,” “American Dad,” and “The Cleveland Show,” I made some incredible contacts and life long friends. Yet during this period I always pursued my career in Real Estate, using those contacts in the film and television industry to help further my Real Estate Career.
Through these contacts I was able to partner with Madison Hildebrand and Jennifer Chrisman and join The Malibu Life Team. Having lived all over Los Angeles I bring with me a wealth of knowledge for the Valley, the Westside, and Malibu. My wide experience and knowledge, along with creative thinking, enables me to guide my clients smoothly through any real estate transaction. I am dedicated to simplifying the process of buying and selling real estate and making the process an enjoyable one. I am able to tap into a vast national network to help my clients find the right property anywhere in the country. So if you are looking for someone knowledgeable, hardworking, dedicated, with a great team behind him, who is client centric, then I’m your man!
