The first annual “Decades of Parties” hosted by Founding Partner of Partners Trust Malibu and star of Bravo’s hit series Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Madison Hildebrand on April 29, was a successful and vibrant evening, all to the benefit of the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu. Held at 11902 Ellice Street in Malibu, a stunning $14.488 million modern beachside estate in the exclusive Marisol community, the event revisited the past and celebrated the future, transitioning decades hour-by-hour from the 70s and beyond.
As Vice President of the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu, Madison Hildebrand directed all proceeds to the near and dear non-profit that inspires and guides local youth to choose constructive paths and passions. Each guest was asked to dress for the “decade” they were appointed upon purchasing their ticket, spanning from the 70s to the present and unto the future. “It was really fun because everybody was in a completely different genre,” says Madison. From roller girls to 80s dancers to Madison’s own futuristic costume, the night dazzled in vivid colors and an enthusiastic ambiance.
All attendees took part in a successful silent auction, with all items sold, including an exclusive signed guitar by Melissa Etheridge, a meet/greet ticket to one of her concerts, a head-to-toe shopping spree at John Varvatos of Malibu, a spa package from Next Health and a rare Breitling watch. Jennifer Naylor, Malibu’s premiere caterer and once-executive chef under Wolfgang Puck, amplified the flavor of the evening with phenomenal small plates, including her famous salmon galettes.
Abounding in live music, gourmet food, a full bar and imaginative costumes, the “Decades of Parties” showcased thrilling entertainment, inclusive of a hoverboard breakdancer, bubble acrobats in the pool and a variety of lively guests. The best costume went to April Cotsen, dressed in a gleaming blue wardrobe and wig designed specifically for the event. “We were reliving the past and celebrating the future,” Madison adds - with a particular emphasis on the hopeful future of Malibu’s Boys and Girls Club.
